User experience (UX) design is the process design teams use to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. This involves the design of the entire process of acquiring and integrating the product, including aspects of branding, design, usability and function.

User Experience Design” is often used interchangeably with terms such as “User Interface Design” and “Usability”. However, while usability and user interface (UI) design` are important aspects of UX design, they are subsets of it – UX design covers a vast array of other areas, too. A UX designer is concerned with the entire process of acquiring and integrating a product, including aspects of branding, design, usability and function. It is a story that begins before the device is even in the user’s hands.

The importance of user experience really comes through when one is designing and optimizing a website that’s targeted for the audience.

If the design of a website is ugly, hard to use, and that doesn’t help the visitors achieve their goals, they’re going to leave feeling frustrated and probably downright angry.

UX, on the other hand, is about creating a digital interface that works exactly as your visitors expect. The interactions are intuitive and so well designed that users don’t even have to think. They just touch, read, scroll, and otherwise interact until they reach the conversion. That’s UX web design in a nutshell.

When it comes to web design, your visitors are your customers. Therefore, you need to be sure your website displays all the elements and offers the level of interaction that will keep your visitors always coming back for more.

User experience, or UX, has been a buzzword since about 2005, and according to tech research firm Gartner, the focus on digital experience is no longer limited to digital-born companies any more
